On Friday 29th November, the Celebration of Japan - Vietnam Diplomatic Foundation 46th Anniversary Event and The 5th Vietnam-Japan culture and trade exchange programme organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) were officially opened in Can Tho. In the presence of the former president Truong Tan Sang, Secretariat of the party, the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man, The Consul general of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City Kwaue Junichi and more than 200 entrepreneurs, representatives from Japanese businesses, the programme marks the good diplomatic relationship between Japan and Vietnam.
Can Tho located in the epicenter of the Mekong Delta, is highly focused by the government so as to strive as an economic center and attract more tourists and investors. One of the main key business partner of Can Tho is Japan with 7 investment projects with up to 25 million US in various fields: healthcare, IT and manufacturing. With this annual Vietnam – Japan culture and trade exchange programme, the relationship between 2 countries is further strengthened and will serve as a bridge to connect Can Tho with more foreign investors and tourists.
The event is held from 29th November to 2nd December in Song Hau Park, Ninh Kieu district with 45 art performances non-stop. The total number of participants is up to 300 performancers with 36 Japanese actors that bring stunning, impressive and large-scale performances. This is also a good opportunity to promote Japan’s image, culture and especially the products and services with 136 booths from Japanese businesses featuring products and services such as farm produce, tourism, accommodation service, consumer goods, souvenir and education. Subsequently, some significant political events will also be organized such as Japan-Mekong Business Forum, Japan Job Fair and Japan – Vietnam Tourism Promotion Conference.
