Focusing on the theme of "Vietnam - A Trusted Business Partner in the Digital Age,” Vietnam Business Summit 2019 (VBS 2019) took place with discussions on issues such as: scientific and technological innovation; the movement of human resources in a digital age and opportunities for Vietnam. Thereby, the speakers discussed the trend of digitalization across the globe; the impact of technology on emerging markets in Vietnam; new opportunities and business models are being formed.

In 2019, Vietnamese economy was rated by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as the one with the best score in improvement and global ranking. Vietnam currently ranks 3rd in the ASEAN region in terms of the size of the digital economy. Technology 4.0 has also been applied in industries, agriculture and services. Furthermore, there are more and more new forms of businesses and services across the nation which based on digital technology and the Internet. These new business models are creating many job opportunities, income, utilities, and improving the welfare of Vietnamese.

In such important national events, the presence and effort of cabin interpreters (also known as real time or simultaneous interpreters) are equally important as they are also part of the forum's success. However, not all cabin interpreters are experienced and professional enough to successfully support such high caliber events. For such national events, simultaneous interpreting is often the most preferred mode of interpreting. This type of interpretation service is considered to be the most difficult and most respected one because it requires high concentration and quick reflexes.
