Interpretation is the act of explaining, reframing, or otherwise showing your own understanding of something. A person who translates one language into another is called an interpreter because they are explaining what a person is saying to someone who doesn't understand.

If you want to succeed in the business world, it is essential to use interpreting services. Interpreters and translators make it easier to interact with people from different cultures and give you a way to ensure that legal proceedings are properly conducted.

Although interpreters and translators typically need at least a bachelor's degree, the most important requirement is that they be fluent in at least two languages (English and at least one other language). We’ve discussed that more thoroughly in 3 simple yet important steps to become an interpreter.

We have compiled this quiz to test the interpreter's knowledge. Or, you can take our interactive quiz at f.ls/interpretation-quiz .
