Shinichiro Tanaka is a Japanese/English freelance translator and interpreter specializing in recorded remote simultaneous interpretation, remote simultaneous interpretation, patents, games, anime, manga, IT, software, tourism, business presentations, etc. As patent translator of Chen Yoshimura LLP, Shinichiro has translated Japanese patents into English for submission to the USPTO. During this time, Shinichiro accumulated knowledge in the field of display devices, semiconductors, electronic keyboards, and the like. Shinichiro has also experienced various interpreting settings as a freelance interpreter including: international conferences (TICAD7, Advertising Week Asia, etc.), university symposiums, embassy hosted events (AI, IT, business, military, ambassador, etc.), automotive, Mozilla Party, TEDx, a jazz session by award winning performers, anime conventions, and various events hosted by the Embassy of Canada (AI, IT, business, etc.). He has also translated for social sciences related topics at CIC (Center of International Communication) as a freelance translator. He has translated for: company websites, museum catalogs, food columns, online news articles, architecture related articles, and various software and games. Shinichiro is the main translator for the anime keyframes collection E-SAKUGA, and was also one of the supporting translators for the book, Users Not Customers by Aaron Shapiro. Shinichiro was also the founder of the probono translation group of ikifu, the first bilingual donation platform in Japan. As a core member of i-kifu, Shinichiro has helped Japanese and international NPOs communicate in Japanese and English. In '14, he completed his Master’s degree in Translation and Interpretation at the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California (currently, Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey).
